Course Description

This webinar provides information that will assist you with understanding the basics of early childhood and school assessments. As a Volunteer Child Advocate, knowing how and when and why these assessments should occur is knowledge that will help you help your child achieve better educational outcomes.

Course Objectives:

*  Define the meaning of a Psychoeducational Evaluation
*  State the timelines used for evaluations according to Florida state rules
*  Know when an evaluation is needed
*  Describe how you can assist in helping a student receive a needed evaluation
*  Identify the types of testing that can be done to evaluate academic achievement
*  Understand how a student’s behavior can be evaluated
