About the instructor

Corinne received her Master’s and Specialist’s degrees in Mental Health Counseling from the University of Florida in 2001 and has been a therapist for over 18 years. She has specialized in the area of trauma for over 15 of those years, having worked with hundreds of children in the child dependency system. Her career has included work with the Child Protection Team and Alachua County Child Advocacy Center. 

Corinne is currently in private practice, using EMDR as her primary treatment modality. She has extensive training in secondary and vicarious trauma and has presented at several statewide trainings on this topic and provides a one-day retreat in her area. She is an EAP provider for Shands Hospital and the Alachua County Sheriff’s Office. Corrine is a volunteer with EMDR Trauma Recovery Humanitarian Assistance Program. Additionally, she is an independent contractor with the Alachua County Child Advocacy Center and serves on the Circuit 8 Child Death Review Committee.

"Strengthening Resiliency during COVID-19" is Part 1 of a four-part webinar series:  Strengthening Resiliency and Preventing Vicarious Trauma. 

This webinar touches on several of the concepts discussed in the later webinars (nervous system regulation, attachment to outcome, and resilience action plan), but specifically related to coping with the COVID-19 pandemic.
