Course Description

"Strengthening Resiliency during COVID-19" is Part 1 of a four-part webinar series:  Strengthening Resiliency and Preventing Vicarious Trauma.

This webinar touches on several of the concepts discussed in the later webinars (nervous system regulation, attachment to outcome, and resilience action plan), but specifically related to coping with the COVID-19 pandemic.

For those with the Guardian ad Litem Program, this 1 hour course does apply towards in-service hours. Please select training topic "Staff Development" and specify in notes the title, "Strengthening Resiliency during COVID-19" when inputting into Optima.

I enjoyed this course as it brought to the surface the mental and physical strain most are enduring during this time. It not only clearly defined how it is hard on most but the course provided actionable items to self regulate one's nervous system, suggestions to stay engaged socially (and why it is important), and provided questions as a self awareness exercise to assist with coping during this time. Look forward to the next course in this series.
