Guardian ad Litem Program Attorney / Circuit 1

Eric Reuter

Eric Reuter earned his Juris Doctor from Stetson University College of Law in May of 2017. He previously graduated summa cum laude from Florida Atlantic University in December of 2012 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree. His undergraduate major was political science, and his minor was economics. He is a veteran of the United States Marine Corps and was honorably discharged from active duty on March 15, 2010 after five years of faithful service. During the summer of 2015, Mr. Reuter participated in a judicial internship under the supervision of the Honorable Gregory P. Holder, a now-retired Circuit Court Judge of the Florida 13th Judicial Circuit. Judge Holder presided over a felony division, as well as the Hillsborough County Veterans Treatment Court. Mr. Reuter also volunteered with the Hillsborough County Veterans Treatment Court as a mentor for two years. In the spring of 2017, he attended a prosecution clinic at the Office of the State Attorney, Sixth Judicial Circuit in Pinellas County. Mr. Reuter took the Florida Bar Exam in July of 2017 and passed, after which he moved to Pensacola, Florida with his family. He became licensed to practice law on September 29, 2017. Eric Reuter began working for the Florida Department of Children and Families (Department), Children's Legal Services (CLS), on November 27, 2017. Toward the end of his employment with CLS, Mr. Reuter was awarded with the "Excellence in Child Welfare Award" by the Department Secretary, Chad Poppell. Mr. Reuter ended his employment with CLS and began working for the State of Florida Guardian ad Litem Program (GAL) on November 27, 2019, where he remains employed as a Program Attorney.
