Course Description

There were numerous changes that occurred in the 2019 Legislative session that impact the child welfare system and our advocacy. Please join us as we review the legislative updates and discuss how they impact our representation of children.

The goal of this webinar will be to translate the changes into action steps for you as child advocates so that you can ensure the updated laws are being implemented and that our children are benefiting from them.

Judge Dawson will be presenting with us to provide a unique perspective from the bench on the legislative changes and their potential/intended impact on the dependency system.

Guest Speakers:

  • Judge Daniel Dawson, Circuit Judge, Retired
  • Deborah Lacombe, Special Counsel
  • Kristen Solomon, Regional Director - Southern Region
  • Kelly Swartz, Director of Legal Advocacy
