Developing a Well-Written Report
Course Description
Building on Chapter 6 of Pre-Service Training, "Information Gathering, Documentation & Judicial Reviews", this course goes further in-depth with describing the process for developing a well-written Guardian ad Litem Judicial Review Report.
In this course, you will learn where and how to obtain records and information necessary for advocating for children, the significance of documentation and writing a well-researched judicial review report with clear, fact based recommendations.
The 2018 statewide approved Judicial Review template is utilized throughout the training. Suggestions and guidance for completing each section is provided.
PLEASE NOTE: For those with the Guardian ad Litem Program, two (2) hours of in-service training applies to this training. The Optima training topic is "Staff Development: Writing Judicial Review Reports".
