Virtual Volunteer Conference: Appeals- What Every Guardian ad Litem Should Know
Attendees will learn about the appellate review process, including how, when, and why issues may be reviewed. Attendees will also learn about the process including critical timeframes and actions that may be taken at the circuit level. Presenters will also discuss strategies and options for continuing to provide high quality representation while issues are on appeal.

Sara Goldfarb, Esq. - Director of Appeals and Pro Bono Operations, Florida Guardian ad Litem Office
Sara Goldfarb began as a senior appellate attorney in 2016. In 2014, she moved to Florida from Arizona, where she spent just over three years with the Pima County Office of Children's Counsel, representing dependent children at both the trial court level and on appeal. Sara also clerked for the Honorable Garye Vasquez at the Arizona Court of Appeals, Division II, for just over four years. Sara is a graduate of the University of Arizona, James E. Rogers College of Law (2006) and Washington University in St. Louis (2003). In her free time, Sara is a Girl Scout Troop leader and enjoys reading, baking, and spending time at the pool with her kids.
