Course Description
This presentation will focus on information about basic concepts of gender, mental health of transgender youth, and specific issues affecting transgender youth. In this workshop, participants will begin to understand the dynamics that affect a transgender youth at home, in school, or while in a foster care placement. This presentation will also touch on the role that social support (from families, caregivers, schools and community) plays in the health and well-being of trans youth.
