Course description

Upon completion of this course you should be able to: 

•Define what is meant by child sexual abuse

•Describe warning signs and symptoms of child sexual abuse

•Discuss what is required of a GAL by the “Keeping Children Safe Act

•Know what to do if a child discloses an incident of sexual abuse to you

•Understand how cultural norms can affect whether or not a child discloses

•Explain some of the effects of sexual abuse on a child

•Define the “grooming dynamic” of child sexual abuse
